From a very early age, I have memories of speaking to spirits. I could feel them all around me.“My Spirits”, the name that I gave them (how appropriate), were what I later found to be truly called “My Guides”. They were the ones to comfort me and let me know that they loved me.  

I was always a sensitive child, feeling not just the physical pain but also the emotional pain others felt as well. The gift of being an Empath was very difficult as a child, constantly hearing “Why are you crying?” and being told,“Stop it, now, or I’ll give you something to cry about!” It made life very hard until I learned how to use it. In retrospect, I can’t blame them, as they didn’t know the gift that I had been given.  

I know exactly what you are thinking, and YES I was bewildered and confused that family didn’t react to what I called  “My Spirits”. No one else could see or hear them? I was met with blank stares. It was my Grammy, a devout Catholic, who would tell me stories about Angels and Arch Angels. That is when I knew; I was here to heal and teach others.

As I went through my late childhood, around the ages of 8 to 12, my connection to spirit faded, as it does with most, including many of the Mediums who later become famous. I started meditating in 9th grade and a whole new world opened up. I was also told I was going to marry early and have kids before a career. The Universe made sure everything would fall into place for a one night chance encounter.

Years later, I had the opportunity to go to nursing school. It was the perfect fit for me. The ability to heal and teach, not just patients, but also families by helping to heal their hearts through the grieving process. One night, while taking report from the day shift RN, I heard a man’s voice “He IS going to hurt you.” It was one of my Guides warning me about THAT patient, an ex-NFL football player that was on the unit. I had already received full report, and there wasn’t a male RN on staff that night. If I would have left that patient and not cared for him, it would have been unethical and I would have lost my license. I did everything possible to get him out of the unit. Already having been detoxed, I had his doctor in the unit twice to see that his medication was having no affect on him. Finally, the doctor ordered something I actually had to look up. It was a horse tranquilizer. The doctor said,”This should knock him out until the morning.” Finally he was out! 20 minutes later, he was trying to get out of bed, and that is when it happened. As I tried to keep him from falling and injuring himself, he grabbed my wrists, squeezed and shook me, and looked me right in the eyes and said “We’re not going to do this dance.” By the time help had arrived, I was finally able to release from his grip.  

Unfortunately, he had crushed my nerves and disabled me. My nursing career was over 9 days short of my 5 year Anniversary.  

Having that warning, doing everything possible, his doctor doing everything he could. This man could have killed me. It’s quite obvious I was meant to stay on this Earth,  this is what the universe had planned for me.  I followed my path, into Nursing , which I believe I was suppose to do.  Having the education, training, and insight to the body has made me a Medical Intuitive as well.

Healing Hands & Hearts is not about months or years but, instead, a lifetime of learning, teaching, and putting all these modalities to work together. Like a finely tuned violin, it's notes, vibrations, frequencies, are what I work with in every single service I offer. We are working with energy, sound, love; that in itself has the highest vibration known to man. The vibration flows through my body and hands to heal those living and breathing through Reiki, the same vibration in which I connect to your loved ones on the other side through Evidential Mediumship, through card and stone readings, and the use of crystals and semi-precious stone bracelets to promote healing and wellness. -Heather Pike
